I'm interested in the spinwing fletchings, wouldn't mind some people's opinions on them if there any good to buy. But what I'm mainly wanting to know is can they be used on a shoot-thru / prong arrow rest? I think I heard once that in order to use them on that type of arrow rest, you drop the angle of the arrow rest, or raise the nocking point, so that the fletchings then almost skip over the prongs. If anyone knows anything about this, I would be grateful to hear about it. Very Happy

I've seen spinwings get ripped off quite a few times using prong/t-taker rests, you could try a fall away / trap door rest, this would sort out the clearance

Are they being ripped off, even after the adjustments have been made to either the nocking point or arrow rest? I'll have a look at some drop away rests as well just in case.

I've never seen better results from using spinwings (recurve), I think they are very good at marketing spinwings hence you get the sheep affect and people follow what the top archers use. Plus they are way to much maintenance for me

I have heard that If you are an archer that puts some of your arrows in the grass, then Spinwings are not such a good idea No as you are likely to loose all the fletchings in one go Sad

I think that I will stick to my normal vanes for the present Smile

Yes swingwing to tend to strip of in the green stuff. I have found that the Eastons 175 are the better fletch for long range or the new Bonnhing X vanes. The only problem with the Bonnhing is you are limited to outlets in UK. The only place that will be suppling them shortly is Rochford Archery.
I have a set made up on my Nav arrows and the flight is the best that I have found.
