I saw a while back, that you can purchase tracer nocks, that light up after being fired, and stay illuminated in the target and flash until passed over a magnet, for anyone interested I'm referring to the "Easton Tracer Nocks" and "Lumenoks". These nocks would seem ideal for archers doing long distances like 80, 100 yards, to indentify your grouping if you didn't have a scope to hand. However are there any rules against these nocks to be used in a tournament?

Hows This for a high profile reply:

Quote:
Dear Helen and Patrick

Currently neither GNAS or FITA have any restrictions on tracer nocks. I expect that GNAS will follow FITA policy if FITA decide that a rule changeis required.

Regards

R K de B Nicholson
Chairman GNAS Rules Committee

I asked GNAS! I wasnt expecting a reply from the chairman! Very Happy

If you are in the upper area of performance, beware that these nocks are a lot heavier that normal nock and will change the arrow spec, resulting in a strong spined arror.
